Word

"A baby is God's opinion that life should go on. Never will a time come when the most marvelous recent invention is as marvelous as a newborn baby. The finest of our precision watches, the most supercolossal of our supercargo planes don't compare with a newborn baby in the number and ingenuity of coils and springs, in the flow and change of chemical solutions, in timing devices and interrelated parts that are irreplaceable." -Carl Sandburg

Very true. The human body is an ingenious machine. If you were to attempt to build something equally efficient, or as capable of accomplishing so many complex tasks, you would surely fail.

Whatever it was would break down.

Interesting quote. What prompted it?

I'm just at a stage with Bean where I'm grieving her newborn-hood and embracing her newly found independence ... no news ... :)

I understand. Little Buddy is leaving the stage where he gives hugs and kisses on command. He is now entering the no stage. Ugh! I guess this is what it is to have your baby grow, a constant grieving of the last stage and adjusting to the new one. I too miss all the many stages that have passed. I can understand why people have more kids.
